4 Things I Learned Trading Stocks

I Needed A Better Way of Trading Stocks

When I first started trading stocks in the early 90’s my analysis ended up in spiral notebooks and putting a watch list together meant cracking open a package of 3×5 note cards.  When a critical element to a stock changed I needed a new note card or my trusty bottle of white out!  Thankfully the old days of trading stocks are long gone  but I knew, even then, that if I had a better way, I’d be a much more effective trader.

If you’re involved in the stock market, you’ve got to be organized and you’ve got to be goal oriented otherwise you’ll lose your shirt.  I like to start out with my goal and then work backwards from there with my planning.  Believe it or not I actually utilize some SCRUM methodology in my process as well because it allows me to tweak my plan when conditions change.  Unfortunately, as you start adding more tools to your research and trading process, planning becomes tougher.

In 1992 Amin had an epiphany while attending a 2 day training course hosted by InvestTools. He realized that he couldn’t leave decisions about HIS money to brokers or advisors. It was at this moment, Amin decided to take control of of his financial future.

Amin spent the next 20 years learning how to maximize his profits and minimize his losses and in 2014 he took over as the IBD® coordinator for the Westchase and Tampa Meetup groups. This experience gave Amin the chance to meet many like minded individuals who were earlier in their investing journey

In March of 2015, Amin began his blog, Investor Spotlight, in an effort to share the knowledge he had accumulated and the lessons learned over many years of trial & error. Moving forward, Amin wants to spread his message beyond just his Meetup groups and blog by providing mentoring and coaching on the process he has come up with over the last 2 decades.
